Less than 2 hours later, my bug report got a reply of "Hello there! With your help, we have now confirmed the issue and added it to our database!". Given that EU5 this early after release still has a lot of bugs, and the bug report forum is full of posts, I was impressed by the speed of response. Even if fixing the bug still might take some time, I got the feeling that I made a positive contribution and was heard. Now that is good community management!
I can't remember the last time I got an actual response for a bug report in any game. That's really old school. Usually the reporting tool specifically tells you there will be no direct reply. I wonder if it makes a difference to how willing people are to submit reports.
ReplyDeleteWell, knowing you and how you write, your bug report was more thoroughly and accurately written than 99% of the trash they get fed on a constant basis. So even overwhelmed QA people will prioritize something they instantly know how to tackle. Still, good CMing on their end.
