I was playing around with Facebook/Google integration and ended up sending a friend request to everyone in my mail contacts who has a Facebook account. Feel free to ignore that social network spam. I'm still experimenting with the concept and use of social networks.

ReplyDeleteI neither tweet or FB, but apparently you are supposed to automate the spam, making it easier for you to find a few hundred thousand of your friend's friends.

One now sees the dirty secret of some "social" networks and games. Remember kids, spamming happens because it works. You may hate it, but someone out there will click on a link and make the spamming worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteDespite not maintaining an active presence on any social network I still get regular automatic email invites from people I might once have shared a brief correspondence with. Why is this type of spam not covered under anti-spam laws?
