Cyberpunk patch 2.2
I am slowly inching towards the point where I might actually start playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time. I bought the game when it was heavily discounted because of all the bad launch publicity, and now want to profit from its redemption story. I had already installed the game, and this morning I was updating it, when the news reached me that the devs were planning a dev stream today, announcing patch 2.2. Well, I guess I can wait another day.
So the dev stream came and went, and the only really good news was that the patch was released directly at the end of the stream, no more waiting. But personally I found the patch notes disappointing, as they basically changed nothing to gameplay. No NG+, no official 3rd person mode (which exists as a mod). Instead we get more cosmetic options for character creation, repainting cars, and an improved photo mode.
Well, I'll try the game out anyway, I doubt it will get much better. They fixed Cyberpunk 2077, but the redemption story still isn't as impressive as No Man's Sky. I just hope they improved the steering of cars enough that I can actually drive them, as I suck at driving games, especially when using a keyboard.

I did the same thiong, got some kind of "all of it" edition on my PS5 for a song. Played it for an hour or three, absolutely fantastic game. Graphics alone just had me gobsmacked, and getting to run around in such a fully fleshed out science fiction city feels very nexty level. Cool setting, cool storyline, excellent character custimization. The Netflix tie in show is also excellent.
However, the next evening I promptly retured to whatever 10+ year old PC game I was into at the time and haven't played it since. It's really hard for a new game to displace the head space that older games take up.

The driving isn't a strong suit for sure. Other than that, I hope you like the game. It's one of best games that I've ever played due to the world building, main story, side stories, and how immersed I became in it. I'm guessing you may not like the combat, but I liked that as well. I played on PC from day one and didn't have many problems even back then since most of the problems were on console. I've never played with mods so I may install a bunch and do a fifth play through.
Have fun! I found the game quite enjoyable as someone who also tapped out at launch and came back later with the DLC. There are some very broken builds out there so if you ever get stuck in combat consider looking one up.
