Blizzard on bag space

This is from the World of Warcraft forums (no link, because WoW forum posts aren't archived and links go dead too fast):
The limitations of bag space are intended and make it a necessity to choose what you want to keep. This may be the inane ramblings of a depraved mind, but I find it fun managing bag space. I treat it as a sort of mini-game, arranging items by category, making tough decisions on what to do with specific items. That is my personal outlook; I don't know if anyone else feels the same way.

That said…

With the 1.10 patch two new craftable bag types will be available specifically for holding items related to either herbalism or enchanting. Tailors will be able to try their hand at crafting these new bags as the recipes will be found throughout the world. These new specialty bags will function similar to how a normal bag would, but with the restriction of holding only herbs or enchanting supplies. The recipes will be made available for crafting these bags in various sizes, the high end of each type being 24 slots.
Good news, Raslebol's herbs and Kyroc's enchanting materials are taking up far too much space. I just hope that you can actually *get* those 24-slots bags. I already have normal 16-slot bags, and if the first size available is 16-slot, they are of no use to me.

I'd hate to see the 24-slot bags being tailored from the hide of Ragnaros, recipe dropping of Onyxia, and costing 1000 gold on the AH.
Comments:
hi, I'm hoping the crafting bags are like the soul shard ones. They take up one space in the bag but have 24 'spaces' in them for shards. This way you could hold 24 enchanting things but still only have 1 space in 1 bag filled. we'll wait and see.

Sounds good to me too, my bank is mostly herbs and having them all in one bag would really help!

Here's hoping that the implementation of the bags isn't too "hardcore"

Craig, I don't quite understand your comment. Soul pouches don't just take up "one space in the bag", they take up one complete bag slot. Thus instead of having for example a Mooncloth bag with 16 spaces in your first slot, you have a soul pouch with 20 spaces. You gain 4 spaces, but you lose the ability to put anything but soul shards in there.

Bigger soul bags with up to 28 spaces are available, but the 24 spaces one only can be gotten from Scholomance, and the 28 spaces one from Molten Core. Not only do you need to find the recipe in MC, which has a low drop chance from the bosses, but you then still need to get lots of Core Leather to make them.

I assume the enchanting and herbalism bags will be similar, but the best I can hope for is getting the 24-space versions from the normal 5-man dungeons, thus giving me 8 more slots than today per bag.

Thanks for posting this one! I'm looking forward to these new bags - I have almost an entire mule full of herbs and my Enchantress has over 2 bag slots in her bank dedicated to enchanting components.
