More BWL
Another day, another step of BWL progress. On yesterday's BWL expedition we managed to kill Broodlord Lashlayer on the second try. Not a bad pace of progress, I have to say, after only killing Razorgore for the first time last week, and Vael this weekend. Our further progress then came to a screeching halt, when we had repeatedly trouble to handle the warlocks in the next room. We hadn't really been prepared for them, and for trash mobs they are rather nasty.
I guess BWL will become rather popular with my guild in the coming weeks, now that we actually kill bosses there and get tier 2 loot. Wiping on the first boss somewhere is always depressing, but wiping on a boss further in, after having gotten some loot already, is much more digestible.

The tech packs are a major PITA alright. The key is to separate the locks from the gobs so that your mages can go in and AOE the gobs by circling them since they will only stand and throw bombs. Our mages stand in the second cubbyhole and come out once the locks are pulled away from the gobs.
The way my guild separates them is by melee dps hiding in the 3rd cubbyhole down the wall and during the pull 2 hunters run out of the cubbyhole into LOS, each targets a lock and uses distracting shot, then they run back into the cubbyholes out of LOS so that the locks stop casting and follow them into the hole. During this part its important that no one else but tanks healers and aoe on gobs run out of the cubbyhole because if the locks aggro anyone in their LOS they will stay in one spot and cast spells which is not good.
After the locks are in a cubbyhole you dps the locks->binders->drakonid in that order, the aoe should have killed the gobs before the locks are dead if things are going well.
Locks in the raid should be ready to banish the felguards the orc locks will summon until you get enough dps to kill them before they can.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get all the way to chromaggus this week, the broodlord and drakes are no where near the difficulty of razorgore and vael
We actually have a pallie gather up the goblins (using consecrate, I believe) and then run around in a circle to outrun their bombs. I'm pretty sure BoP is applied to, although I don't know the specifics. I do know that it works like a charm, though -- we went from tech pack wipes to easy peasy.
