Are greens too powerful?
Yesterday on my server somebody found these bracers:
I made the screenshot myself, so this is not just something photoshopped. But it is obviously some bug, and it wasn't clear whether the guy wearing them would actually get the indicated stat increases.
Makes you wonder whether if you found these bracers, equipped them, and then started happily chain-killing tons of mobs for experience and loot, that would be considered cheating. Would using a bugged item be a bannable offence, even if you are in no way responsible for the bug and didn't do anything to hack it?

Real stats are:
332 armour (as reported)
+11 str
+11 agi
+16 sta
Don't know how or why you got that stats :)
Anyway is really fun :D
As item stats are hardcoded on server and cached on client, try to :
1) if you have lootlink use /ll and search for the item to check if is still with those stats
2) delete WDB directory in cache folder and then after loggin check again for those stats
I think that wow server send only ID's of player items worn plus additional stats like enchants. If your cache is broken, you could see "ghosts" broken info.

If you found these and they really did do what they say?
Yeah, that should be bannable. Not a single person here has looked at these and thought they were normal.
... I'd still probably kill one or two things, just to try it out....

I saw some Mail shoulders with similar stats. I had them linked to me in a tell, though, I didn't actually see them on someone using /inspect
Must have been server-based, not client-based, because the link was spread by chat because of the strange stats. And apparently that's not the only time the bug happened.

Yeah, saw it as well on a necklace with similar unbelievable stats... Is it my impression or this last patch just opened up more holes than it plugged? All sorts of weird behavior have also been happening with quests, lately.
