Level 60 bosses chat

Somebody on the WoW forums wondered what the level 60 bosses were doing nowadays, and posted an hilarious fictious chat session between them, which is currently being copied all over the blogosphere. As the WoW forums are too temporary, I'm linking to it here and here. No need to copy & paste it another time to here.

[Spoiler warning - Read the chat at the links first!]

The chat is between the bosses of the level 60 instances and raid dungeons, who complain that they haven't seen any "mobs" (that is players) for days, until some mid-60s players arrive and do speed runs, soloing the bosses. Now I seriously doubt a level 64 warrior doing Molten Core solo in 2 minutes 34 seconds, but the sentiment is the same as in my Goodbye Molten Core post: Nobody takes the level 60 dungeons serious any more. Either they stand empty, or they are farmed in easy mode by higher-level characters. You can count the days until the first video of a handful of level 70 characters doing a Molten Core speed run appears on YouTube.

I haven't got a good feeling on how much stronger a level 70 will be than a level 60. I'm pretty sure that at level 64 you won't be able to solo even Stratholme or Scholomance, but will it be possible at level 70? I don't think a holy-spec'd priest is the good class to try that. If I ever get around to level my warrior to 70, with enough armor and magic resistance you should be able to do it. Molten Core won't be soloable at 70, but records will be set and broken with how few people you can do it. Just another occupation for bored level 70 characters with nothing better to do.

Comments:
actually scholo solo :D is already possible with 60
right class and equipment makes it possible

and i think strat should also be no problem

ubrs maybe partly.

but with 70 i think its piece of cake doing this instances solo

strat west solo with my mage...
righteous orbs im coming :D

The strange thing is, MC, BWL, and Naxx bosses may actually get stronger than before. I was browsing some other forums, and at least during the beta people found that "skull" level bosses actually had their combat mechanics scale with the highest level players in the group! What this means is that miss rates, resist rates, crushing blows, etc. from "skull" bosses always seems to be calculated as though the boss was highest player level +3. Total hitpoints, and damage done, didn't seem to change, but one (probably unintended) consequence was observed. As most people know, things like crit rating, armor rating, etc. have less effect against higher level monsters, and as a player levels it even has less effect against like-level monsters. For instance, if a tank had 67% damage mitigation at level 60 against level 60 mobs, then at level 70 (with approximately the same armor) he would have only in the mid-50% damage reduction against like level. And since the "skull" boss would now be level 73, he is going to hurt you more. Many tier 3 guilds have noticed that their tanks, still wearing the Dreadnought from Naxx, have actually been taking more damage against the "skull" bosses!

What this means is that, although the dungeon trash is no doubt easier, many of the bosses in the raid dungeons will still require a well coordinated group of probably at least 15 level 70 characters. So, although the level 60 raids will be easier, they have hardly been made trivial yet (assuming that all of this boss-scaling proves to be true, and Blizzard has actually intended this).

I know there was a video about a 68 paladin soloing Strat in beta somewhere...
