Sad news from the Escapist
My laptop is full with 104 issues of The Escapist magazine, a well written online magazine on virtual worlds and MMORPGs. Unfortunately with issue 105 they did a redesign, and now you can't download the magazine for later perusal as pdf file any more. You can only read it online, or use some offline browser or similar software to make a copy. I'm not sure I'm going to read the Escapist as much as before due to these changes.

At work I didn't have the chance to read an whole issue online due to internet restrictions, so i think i wouldn't read it as much as before, too...
it's always a bad move imho to limit options that where there before...(mmo-devs often make the same mistakes ;-))

Hmmm, I always found the old escapist hard to read... you couldn't scale the text without breaking the whole layout, which made it difficult on small monitors/resolutions.
But the old layout was a layout, it had style and personality.
The new layout is just boring "web 2.0", sorry, shit. It looks like every other site out there and lost a lot of charme.
