Dire Maul bug
Something fishy is going on in the World of Warcraft. If you do a "/who Dire Maul" you see players like level 45 hunters in DM, which should be way too high for them. And the auction house is full of Foror's Compendium of Dragon Slaying, which should be a rare drop of DM north boss mobs. They used to sell for over 1000 g on my server, but the prices are rapidly dropping, now at 800 g and falling.
I wouldn't be surprised if soon we hear that there is some bug / cheat / exploit which allows people to loot DM north bosses without fighting.

Check out this video over at YouTube.
It shows a hunter using some teleport hack in Dire Maul to keep himself out of harms way as he kills a boss.
Found via this post at n3rfed.
It'll be interesting to see how quickly blizzard crack down on this as that video is now over a week old, surely they know about it by now :o

My bad, that video link actually points to google video.
More importantly I also read the date wrong, not expecting it to be over a month old, March 14th rather than April 14th.
This problem could have been around for an age already and is slowly getting more attention as Blizzard didn't stamp it out early on. No offence to Blizzard though, I wouldn't be surprised if most other MMOs had similar faults that have managed to go unchecked so far, WoW just has millions more subscribers able to stumble upon exploits such as this.

The teleport hack has been around for ages. Blizzard is either incapable of fixing it, or the process requires considerable time and effort on their part.
If you remember, relatively recently Blizzard disabled the egg quest in Tanaris. The reason is people can use the teleport hack to just zip back and forth between the quest-giver and the egg, racking up an easy two or three levels in no time at all. That was at least two months ago, I'm fairly sure.

Yeah I saw that movie at Google earlier too. It's the same teleport hack that has apparently been around for ages. Notice how the hunter always jumps when teleporting. I've seen that in other videos where people are trying to catch the cheaters/hackers/whatever on video to show to Blizzard, and it's the same there. They also jump when they teleport. This is the first time I've seen the interface for it though, since this one is actually made by the cheater. Oh well...
Excuse me if obvious answer, but what is the interface he keeps using?
Is that what he is using to "teleport"?
Just curious...

The interface he is using is some sort of console that issues commands, probably feeding bogus x,y,z coordinates to the server.
It would be very easy for Blizzard to bust these guys. Run a small server-side script every few minutes picking up who killed Gordok. Check to see who is in the party with them - if they aren't grouped, ban them. Or, better yet, check the coordinate data for patterns that suggest teleporting hacks.
