Blogosphere chain letters

DM Osbon tagged me with another of those "name 5 things, tag 5 other bloggers" chain letters. Now I'm supposed to name 5 goals of mine. I'm going to cheat on this one. First of all I won't tag anyone else with this. And then I'm not listing personal goals, but only 5 goals I have with my characters in World of Warcraft. Sorry, but I never really been a friend of chain letters, and shouldn't have participated in the last one on "5 things you didn't know about me". Well, anyway, here are 5 WoW goals I have:

1) Reach level 20 with my blood elf mage and do all the quests in the new blood elf zones.

2) Get the botanist's field guide from Botanica and learn potion mastery with my warrior alchemist.

3) Do slave pens with my level 70 warrior. Yeah, it's late, but I have only the Underbog part of the Coilfang Reservoir quest completed, and really should get the other half done.

4) Become revered with the Sporeggar with my warrior alchemist, so I can learn the transmute primal earth to water recipe. Primal earth being a lot cheaper than primal water, that might be a good money-maker. And I'm already honored with them.

5) Visit Shattered Halls and Arcatraz with my priest to get the last 2 missing pieces of the "Hallowed" priest dungeon set 3.

Not very ambitious goals, but then I'm playing a lot less World of Warcraft these days, and if I get sucked into LotRO I might never even make these.

Suggestion: Instead of me tagging other bloggers, I'm tagging all of my readers to list 5 of their World of Warcraft goals in a comment. How about that?
Comments:
My goals are probably even less ambitious than yours, Tobold.

1) Get the leggings from Baron Rivendare so I can complete my Dungeon Set 1 upgrade quests (harder than it might sound).

2) Get Tailoring 375 (currently 341) in the course of questing - no visits to the AH except for Arcane Dust.

3) Get the elite flying mount.

4) Get the necessary Rep with the Outland factions so that I can sample Heroic dungeons (eventually).

5) Get Dungeon Set 3 (none so far).

1) My main, is to finish my Kara Attunement. I haven't been playing much so this has been on the back burner for over 2 weeks now and all I need is the Dark Portal.

2) Keys, Keys, Keys. Need to start getting my rep up for the heroics and then get my tempest key quests knocked out.

3) The Almighty Epic mount of course. Was halfway to it until a buddy needed to borrow 2000g to buy his, hope he pays me back soon.

4) Beastlords Set and the gun from SV. Beastlords has such a horrible drop rate but I still want it.

5) Finally, finish my app for the guild I'm trying to join.

Hmmm... aside from get back into it...

1. Get my 'lock his Dreadsteed.
2. Get my 'lock to level 70
3. Get my BE Paladin to lvl 60
4. Try to see some of the lvl 60 dungeons like Strath/Scholo/BFD/LBRS with aforementioned Pally
5. Do some Outland dungeons

Nothing too ambitious as my guild seems to have dissolved around me.

1. Wonder why Blizzard loves to nerf classes (the new patch notes makes this apparent).

2. Then wonder some more as to why Blizzard thought grinding for rep in dungeons just to play the same dungeons in a harder setting was a good idea.

3. Get on forums to bitch about how this game has become one giant, boring grind-fest, be it gold, rep, mats.

4. Cancel my account.

5. Pre-order LOTRO.

Hello,
probably my last goals in WOW too, for i will begin LotRO on the german RP-Server,
hopefully to once again experience the feeling and fun of exploring a new world, meet
new people an roleplay just for the fun of it and without any farming, grinding…at least
for the fist 40+ levels or so I hope;-).
I will cancel my accout this weekend, thus having 3 more month to accomplish this goals:

1) Level my Draenai-Warrior to 60+ (currently 34) - incl. maxing jewelcrafting -, cause that’s the only fun-factor in the moment…despite the fact that levelling through the Old World once again is a pain in my neck sometimes.

2) Maybe completing Tier-3-Dungeon-Set on my gnome warlock (my first char, i simply love the little guy)

3) Building one of the new cloth engi-goggles for the little guy…perhaps one of the few meaningful items i can ever make in this profession, the upcoming changes are disappointing or will come too late for me.

4) Maybe going for the new Nether Ray mount with him for i doubt i’ll have the time/motivation to get there.

5) Cleaning up the mail and arrange the bankslots on my chars in case i should return someday…*sniff*

Tobold,

Just wanted to send a quick note your way to let you know I look forward to your views each morning as I can't get much WoW info through my job's firewall.

My goals are as follows:

1.) Get warrior main to level 70
2.) Get Dranai Shaman to 58 to enter the Outlands.
3.) Start Kara chain to obtain key
4.) Get warrior blacksmithing to 375 (Need more fel iron to level up.)
5.) Get daughter's hunter to 10 so she can have a pet. (Currently lvl 9.)

1. Level Rogue to 70 (currently 64)
2. Level Enchanting to 375 (currently 314)
3. Level Priest to 70 (61) using nothing but dungeons and rest XP.
4. Buy epic mount for Priest
5. Run Heroic Dungeons and get better epics than Karazhan.

First of all, my BE warlock did all of the starting area quests I could find, and I thought the area was very well done. Have fun with that!

My WoW character(s) goals:
1) Have fun in whatever I'm doing in WoW!
2) Level my priest with my wife's first character (a hunter) to level 70 (both level 53 now)
3) Get my main to Blacksmithing 375; or at minimum to 330 to craft my Armorsmith chestpiece (currently only 272 and farming Thorium to get to 300, but a bank and mailbox full of Outland ores)
4) Complete the Return of Thrall quest line in Nagrand with my main; I want to see that sequence! (only one more quest line to complete before I unlock the Greatmother quests)
5) And still find the time to guild and gear the main for raiding AND level the fun alts too... :P

Doeg

1) Craft the other two pieces of my spellfire set, getting 375 tailoring in the process.
2) Change spec back to fire / arcane finally.
3) Get revered CE, Lower City, Shai'tar, and Thrallmar
4) Get my BE pally up to a respectable level
5) Get my Captain up to level 15, try out Monster Play and crafting.

Hey Tobold,

Somehow you always succeed in coming up with a varied and interested set of topics to write about. :) If you quit WoW, I will be very sad to not read your blog every day. My 5 goals are:

1) Get the Gladiator's Dragonhide Tunic (chest) for my 70 feral druid tank. That will make me uncrittable and a better tank for Karazhan and heroics.

2) Help my friend (70 dwarf priest) complete his Kara attunement.

3) Improve my PvP strategies and skills, particularly arena.

4) Lead my guild's raid progression through Kara (at Curator now).

5) Get the recipe for Solid Star of Elune (+12 stamina). I've been at 375 JC for a while but only have about 17 blue gem recipes.

1) Don't get sucked into Raiding (like I did pre-TBC)
2) Play more games other than Wow (LOTRO)
3) Play more games other than MMOGs
4) Play less games and do more stuff outdoors
5) Do more Photography

No, not all about WoW, but then if you can cheat so can I :D

WoW goals:

1. Get Alliance "main" to 70.
2. Get Undercity rep on horde toon to get bony horse mount (yummy).
3. Get Linken's Boomerang (http://warcraft.fibergeek.com/?p=88) ZOMG! A ranged weapon a Pally can use!!
4. Write up "Pally strategy guide" and publish it (finally).
5. Re-write wordpress itemstat plugin to be more general and allow for text or icon linking to items, quests, talents or spells.

1) Max my professions on my two mains. Mage has 270 mining, 220 jewel craft. Paladin has 170 herb and 310 alc.

2) Sell mats I got from leveling professions on AH and save for epic mount...got about 300g

3) Start a BE hunter named "Ninjaloota" and Ninja all items from WC runs. Don't worry I wont do it past WC.

4) Turn my 51 priest into a monk...

-Shard all of my gear, except for my staff.
-Get invited to groups to heal
-After starting a dungeon I tell my group I'm a melee priest, or monk and I havn't bought any heal spells because I wont need them.
-Read "lol ok whatever" on my screen when my group thinks I'm kidding.
-Proceed to knock on elite mobs with my staff while reading "OMFG HEAL YOU NOOB"

5)Possibly proceed in end game raiding but only if isn't too much trouble.

1) Help friends level their toons since at 70 I've lost all desire to spend hours of my life running the same dungeons over and over and over.

2) Actually get one of my alts to a decent level.

3) PVP more.

4) Spend less time in general playing WoW.

5) Get more sleep from spending less time playing WoW.

Ah Tobold looks like your readership likes these memes...didn't hurt too much in the end & some good responces too!

1. Never do anything I don't enjoy. (Especially raid with people who can't communicate.)
2. Never repeat content just to improve my equipment.
3. Defend Iceblood at all costs.
4. Kill more members of my own faction.
5. Hit level 70 without realizing it.
